I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with off white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had chocolate and subtle orange peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with chocolate and subtle orange presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had smooth carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

16 ounce can, canned on 01/26/2021. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a very dark brown color with about an inch light tan head that stuck around a while. Decent amount of lacing, too. The brew smells like roasted malt, orange, dark chocolate, oats and coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some cream and milk chocolate flavors noticeable too. Orange and dark chocolate stand out to me, but don't overpower the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was a good overall stout, I like it more than the regular Ferryman. Would like to try this fresher at the brewery one day! $10.99 a 4-pack.

This beer pours really dark brown with a ruby speck of light coming through when held to a light. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The orange is strong. The chocolate is secondary, but it does smell like those chocolate orange candies.
The orange overpowers the chocolate a little bit in the taste. I would prefer the chocolate to be a bit more prominent.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
Now chocolate orange candies are not my favorite thing in the world, but this beer pretty much replicated that experience. The smell was very enjoyable. The taste could have used more chocolate for my palate. It was a fun take on a delicious base milk stout.
