Served in a Phoenix Brewing Company nonic pint glass
This beer pours a brilliant yellow and is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves decent lacing.
I get just a little toast and caramel smell from the malt. Then the hops take over. I get light pine and grapefruit.
The taste is clean. I get pine and grapefruit but not over the top.
Thin body and mouthfeel
This is a very clean and refreshing beer. The flavors are light enough to not get palate fatigue after consuming a four pack. I am pleasantly surprised with how much I like this beer. I am not a fan of "session" IPAs. I much prefer a hoppy lager if I am going light. This along with Columbus Brewing Dalton are standouts in the "session" IPA category for me. But this is much easier to obtain, since Dalton might be extinct.
