Relax, it's just the Krampus, drinking a white stout! A big golden ale infused with cocoa nibs, vanilla, and dry-beaned with Highlander Grog for notes of roast, caramel, and butterscotch.

This poured a beautiful deep gold with around 1.5" of head that disappeared quickly and left little lacing.

The smell is amazing. I love highlander grogg coffee, and the scent is spot-on. I could just sit here smelling this beer and be happy. I already deeply regret buying a single.

The flavor is outstanding. One of the best beers I've had all year. Highlander grogg coffee, a touch of butterscotch, a whiff of vanilla. It's delicious, warm, and comforting. The perfect beer to enjoy by the fire. If it's possible to drink a hug, I just did.

Mouthfeel was surprising. I wasn't expecting this to be a full-bodied beer, but it is, and it's perfect. The flavor notes really demand a full bodied feel to round out the beer. There's a generous amount of carbonation as well. It livens things up on the palate just right - it makes the brew almost playful, rather than being too syrupy. Smooth. Creamy. Perfect.

This is an outstanding brew. If Phoenix doesn't release it again next year, it will be a crime.

1 PINT can
Served in a Phoenix Brewing nonic pint glass

This beer pours gold in color and is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves little lacing.

I could smell coffee and chocolate as I decanted. As I explored further I got some vanilla as well.

It has a nice coffee and cream flavor which is complimented by the cocoa nibs that give it a chocolate flavor.

It has a medium to full mouthfeel with a silky smooth mouthfeel.

This is a tasty, enjoyable, "white" stout. This is a local seasonal favorite.
