Served in a snifter
This beer pours golden with a slight haze. It is topped with a miniscule beige head that leaves no trace.
Cinnamon with a light coffee aroma. It smells a little sweet. Coffee opens up as it warms.
Light cinnamon flavor with even less coffee flavor. Tastes more like a blonde ale than the other Krampus variants. Just light on everything.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
It lacks to substance that the regular Krampus has. Reminds me more of a cream ale or blonde ale. Usually, white stouts have some umph behind them that this beer lacks. I think I would have been more open to the beer had it been presented as a blonde ale rather than a "stout."
