500ml bottle served in a big snifter. 2018 bottle. Don't see a more specific date.
Pours black with a small head and little carbonation. Smell is stouty and vanilla (shocker!). Booze and bourbon.
Taste is strong vanilla, boozy finish, bourbon throughout.
Mouthfeel is surprisingly thin. Overall, it's a pretty good BBA stout.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin brown head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, bourbon and light cocoa. Flavor is dark toasted malt, vanilla, and mild milk chocolate; bourbon forward at first then finishing with more integration and mellowing from the vanilla. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A full flavored bourbon barrel stout with clear vanilla character. It's a little hot still, especially at the start (a little aging might help this one), but the vanilla really smooths things out in the finish. Not too complex, but hey: dark malt, bourbon and vanilla really are a great combination. Light chocolate notes add some interest. Nicely done.
