Can from Belmont Station.
An interesting lager, with some classic aromas/flavors joined to a much more hop-forward character/presence. Body is a bit thin, but otherwise fine.
Pours a white foam with average retention, fading to a thin ring around the perimeter of the glass with good lacing. Body is a pale golden yellow color, slightly hazy due to the dry-hopping.
Aroma: mild, sweet, and smooth citrus with a moderate undertone of woodsiness/mintiness.
Flavor: lemon-lime-orange, moderate woodsiness and mintiness, medium-light bitterness, a bit of faint sulfur and light base malt sweetness, but no distinct malt character(s).
Feel: Beer is light to medium-light in body, with carbonation of fairly high intensity, resulting in a bit too fizzy of a mouthfeel at first. Closes very dry, light stickiness on palate.

A mostly clear light orange with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing this looks good. The nose is citrus, mint and mild eucalyptus, along with a simple grain note. The palate opens sharp, mildly bitter with lemon, orange peel and a touch of mint before a blend of grain flavors appear. Mild wheat and light malt flavors are present. Surprisingly thin in body, the mid palate is watery and is only made worse by the carbonic acid bite from the high carbonation. Drying, bitter, mildly oily on the finish. Decent.

For 2019 this annual showcase for fresh hops is dry-hopped with Triumph and Styrian Wolf in addition to Saaz in the boil. Triumph is a Yakima variety new this year. Styrian Wolf is also new, developed in Slovenia. Aromatics are light fruit and flowers. Flavors of lime, biscuits, and a hint of pine.

This is a great version of a hoppy Lager. Not overdone, still crisp and aromatic, tangy and lightly fruity. Just a mild bitter tang in the aftertaste, with maybe a dose of yeast as it appears to be unfiltered though not really hazy. Another good idea from Wander.
