Poured out a hazy light amber color with golden highlights. It had a small head of white foam. Good estery aroma with apple and pear in the nose. Fruity (apple and pear) but not sweet and yeasty. A nice caramel and grain backbone. It was crisp and sharp. A medium bodied beer.

Poured into a Defiance balloon glass.
Look: Clear golden body with slowly rising bubbles. A white head recedes to a bubbly film leaving nice patches and bands of lacing.
Aroma: Yeasty and fruity with a banana note that holds up much of the aroma. Tart apples and very faint white pepper as well.
Taste: Very clean and dry with more tart and pepper than in the aroma. Tart green apples and maybe tart cherries compose most of the fruit profile. A woody, dry finish with a slightly boozy touch.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, very dry.
Overall: Very clean and dry with good tart fruit notes. Another good beer from Defiance.
