A:
Pours a powdery straw color with a splotchy white head that never amounts to much more than a ring around the glass. 'Meh' retention; a little lacing.
S:
Floral yeasty esters. Lemon and floral scents with the slightest touch of spicy hops. Pretty subdued.
T:
Tropical and dry. Lemon rind, chalk, and a spicy herbal finish that really dries out the fruitiness.
M:
Thin and chalky with a tingly hoppiness to it and a nice level of carbonation.
O:
An okay take on a saison but nothing amazing.
It pours pretty poor looking but has a nice nose to it; however, it doesn't have as intense of a yeasty character as one might expect from a saison. Fine tasting with a drying finish.
Might have again; worth a shot if you like American takes on Belgian styles.
