Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a stiff yellow semi-hazy color with a small white foamy head about a finger's worth and falling off fairly quick. Spotty lace ran here and there.
The aroma had some ruby red grapefruit, lemon pulp, marshmallow fluff and balancing in some grassy sweet hops underneath.
The flavor moderately leaned towards the sweet side but developed more of a balance with the bitterness. Barely any aftertaste, seemed somewhat hoppy with some ruby red grapefruit and lemon.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation. Nice finish of grassy sweet and grapefruit.
Overall, excellent New England styled IPA I would have again.

L - yellowish head atop a translucent yellow body.

S - heavy grapefruit, herb, cotton candy.

T - pungent grapefruit and dankness, with a touch of sweetness. Smooth middle. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness. Moderate-low booziness.

F - medium, incredibly smooth body and carb.

O - one-dimemsionally dank, but what a mouthfeel!

Canned on 7/10/18

Pours a hazy, glossy orange topped with a soft finger and a half of white head.

Aroma brings soft notes of peach and orange alongside lightly spicy herbal tones mixed with flaky cracker crumbs; soft and very inviting.

Taste is exceptionally well-balanced, highlighting sweet orange zest, dank mango, earthy hops, and delicate floral bursts. Everything is soft and comes together naturally with no flavor feeling out of place.

This mouthfeel is nearly beyond reproach. So soft and casual I almost want to call it stealthy, and a level of carbonation that lifts it just enough to reveal the finer elements of its flavor. Semi-juicy and never difficult, hiding its ABV well. Top-tier on its own, but gains some extra admiration from me for how much it adds to the rest of the beer.

Everything about this is so well-executed, condensing itself into its subtleties and finding its way not through boldness, but through its myriad of nuance. Delicately flavorful, balanced, and about as smooth a DIPA as you're likely to come across.

Their description: After the recent acquisition of Enigma, a new to us hop cultivar from Australia, we were enamored with its extremely unique bright tropical fruit character. This DIPA was hopped extensively with both Enigma and Amarillo. Impressions of green tropical fruit, lime, and white wine citrus leads into our ever necessary soft and plush finish.
