Pours a viscous, motor-oil black body capped with just shy of a finger of creamy, deep mocha-hued foam; modest head retention leaves a slim layer of cap, large, lush collar, and no lacing marking the walls of the glass.
Aromas of raw cacao laced with maraschino cherry liqueur open to ample bourbon char, leaving toasted oak edging into tones of malted roast lingering across the bouquet.
Taste offers toasted oak and airy hints of cacao wafer upfront, with a roasty malt backing bourbon oak over the mid-palate into milk chocolate, distant toffee, and dark cherry esters fading toward the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a thick, viscous body, with a slick, easy char prickling through a subtle, dense spritz of fluffy carbonation as a quiet warmth phases through a level dryness over time.
Heavy cocoa roast pulls a weighty, restrained sweetness while a dense barrel muck prevails in defining the profile; a straightforward, uncomplicated depth to this warming sipper.
