My bottle was Best By March 2018. While I drank it on the last possible day, it was a bit flat; clearly having seen better days.
But that doesn't mean that it is not an interesting and subtle wit.
I give it below average Looks, mostly because of not much foam. Smells give me apples/pears, mostly from the yeast. Tastes are largely the same fruit, but subtle; which is unusual for a wine-drinking culture to use brewer's yeast that well. The wheat makes this very soft in the mouth; but curiously still cleanses the palate for more food.
Mateo 21 is a nice wit. But at its price... I don't need to have it again.

a very interesting beer here, for something simply dubbed "wheat", it has a whole lot going on. quite obviously european to me, this is yeasty in a new way, and just seems to be quite apart from any american take on wheat beer i have known. clearish on the pour, bright golden in color, with a good three quarters of an inch of white head on it with decent retention. it smells like green apples and apple juice to me, maybe a byproduct of the yeast, but it certainly seems as yeast driven as it is wheaty. i like the lightness of it in the flavor, really complex, but real delicate too, thats hard to do. it seems filtered or very well refined, clear and i dont get much texture from the wheat, its not fluffy or creamy or anything, maybe a lower percentage of wheat in the bill. i get apples again in the flavor, a little sharpness like white wine, and then a bit of fresh wheat malt flavor in the end. it has an odd taste, but very distinct, reminds me almost of champagne. lighter in body, and not quite as bubbly as i would like for the flavor profile. i think these bottles have been in the market here a little while, so perhaps freshness is an issue, but i liked this well enough. always a treat to have some of the european craft stuff, never quite know what to expect. this was good enough to make me inclined to grab the porter i see around...

From Alcampo. In Bavaria glass. Watching True Detective 2x03-04. Halfway between a hefeweizen and a witbier. Not much good on nose but good enough on mouth. Some acidity that doesnt bother much. Plesant and very easy to drink.

Had this over-priced beer at a wine centric restaurant that should have stuck to their decent domestic craft beer list rather than trying to write off the trip to Spain by deciding to pack their beer list with this brewers offering.
Absolutely pedestrian and obscene for the price.

Ratebeer tasting. Pale yellow body with a thin white collar. Light bodied with subtle notes of coriander and wheat. Easy drinking and refreshing. Low carbonation. Good summer brew, though bland.

Looking all fancy on the shelf, from a country that's not in any way known for their beer, and with a hefty price tag to boot. Oh I must have this one!
Pours a hazy, yellow-orange with little froth to speak of. Smells typical, with banana and spice. Has a creamy mouth-feel with more banana and faint coriander. Maybe a bit of orange. No need to go deeper. Light bodied of course, and I could drink this all day if it were free, but it's not.
Proving a sucker is born every day, and despite knowing better, I purchased this over-priced, garden-variety hefe, drank it down quickly, and moved on to more tasty pastures.
