Clear light-colored golden brew with abundant foam in the Maredsous goblet. Quite strong scent of clove. Powerful taste leaning toward the spice and a gritty aftertaste. Apples and some bitterness. Not very carbonated on the tongue, but the aftertaste is club soda. I wish these Hefeweizen-style brews didn't all have to be so strongly flavored and yeasty. But it's sippable enough. From the 473 ml can purchased at the brewery in east Van.
