Appearance: Poured in to a chalice, murky dark caramel brown, fairly generous creamy light tan head, tight smallish bubbles that had a medium/slow dissipation and not much lacing at all.
Aromatics: The aroma was sweet caramel/toffee malt, with a hint of crisp light hops and ever so subtle smokey fruit.
Taste: Extremely smooth malt and roasted caramel up front. A decent amount of hops in a scotch ale flavour. A bit heavy on the scotch warmth at the backend. Finishes with an average bitter that doesn’t linger.
Feel: A healthy body, good carbonation, with a finish that starts smooth with a slight oomph at the end.
Overall: I think it wasn’t bad for a wee heavy. It had the body and the nose, but ultimately I am comparing it to the first “good” wee heavy I ever had so in comparison this one is not bad, but I think I was waiting for a better balance between the creamy smooth and “heavy” ale combo or perhaps a bit of spice or other aspect to make it really stand out.

Hazy pour with zero head. Nice boozy aroma, a little whiskey, a little wood, apple cider?
Flavour is an odd mix of bubble gum fruity esters, bourbon, wood and vanilla, with a slight cardboard oxidation.
Fairly dry with a warming alcohol finish.
Although it's not technically a drain pour, my liver has much better things to process.
