A: pale yellow, translucent, not hazy
S:Crisp generic lager. No noticeable fruit, maybe a bit of pine.
T: clean, crisp, bitter without much distinguishing flavour. Maybe green apple or green grape with lemon zest. Finish is long and bitter leaving an unpleasant aftertaste.
M: light and crisp.
O: Fine for a summer day but not one I'd seek out again.

650ml bottle poured into a weizen glass. Bought at the Lennox Liquor Store, Vancouver.
This is the first beer I've had from Steamworks, although I've heard good things about them. It's also the first Saison I've tried. This beer is a pale, golden yellow and hazy, with a massive, foamy head. Smell is a bit sour, maybe funky, but fruity. Taste? More bitter than I'd expected, and something about it almost reminds me of cider, but without any of the sweetness. It doesn't seem very balanced. I'm not really sure what to make of it. As I haven't tried any other saisons, I can't compare it to others of this style.

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Pours a cloudy white/light yellow colour with a massive white head. The nose is a floral, citrus, lemony wonderland. Really beautiful. Big flavours of citrus, wheat and fruit bubblegum on the palate. It's clean, tangy and refreshing with a big bitter finish.

Had this out of a growler. carbonation was a little off.
poured a nice hazy light copper colour with a good pillowy white head that subsided into a thin covering.
smell is all yeast. nice spicy bready notes. very estery. possibly a little too much.
taste is tart and predominated by belgian yeast characteristics. with a bit of maltiness at the end.
for a saison it could have finished a little drier. mouth feel wasnt bad. again carbonation was a little off so maybe all just have to have another growler.
