Pours deep orange with a solid pale, rye, and melanoidin malt foundation, assertively hopped with Amarillo, Comet, Triumph, and Ahtanum. Its sweet citrus and pine forward flavors balance with an underlying earthiness that marry perfectly with the rye malt.

Pint at the brewpub in gastown. Entering review from notes.
Pours a dark amber, with a small head and moderate carbonation. Smell is rye spice and pine resin, earthy, with a classic west coast IPA bitter aroma.
Taste is along the same lines, focusing on the west coast earthy pine bitter with some toasty rye bread.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, just avoiding stickiness. Overall, good beer.
