I had this on draft at the neighboring restaurant to the brewery. It had nice coffee bitterness and I need to buy some in cans this winter. Is this really different from the Coffee Porter, which is also listed here? I've seen this one in cans on local shelves.

A. Pours very dark, near black. A minor head of fine bubble carbonation quickly retreats to fine bubble rim. Moderate to thin viscosity.
S. This beer has a fairly low fragrance, but opens as it warms. The main aspect of the nose is dark roast malts, with brewed coffee present and minor notes of dust, leather, dried grains, and domestic yeast.
T. Very coffee and malt forward taste. As with the nose, brewed coffee as opposed to coffee beans. Fairly simple beer, but it works well. A great coffee porter. Not much of a hop bite till it warms, but this is not a particularly bitter beer.
M. A thin porter, full body, moderate to light carbonation, and very smooth.
O. Nice done GF. This is a wonderful variation of their porter. The feel is a little thin, but not every beer has to be motor oil, especially porters. The coffee will not blow you away but is certainly present. I now have high expectation for the other variations, inducing a smoked '37. The value is another great aspect of this beer; I grabbed a growler for under 15 bux and points are under 5 bux.
