12 oz. bottle poured into a willibecher.

A- Very light straw. Fantastic clarity. White head is dense, however retains mediocrely. Great lacing, though.

S- Floral and fruity hop aroma. Mild toasty/biscuit malt.

T- Light straw. Floral hop. Delicate flavors.

M- Light, crisp. Just a faint lingering dryness.

O- Fine example of a Kölsch. Light, crisp, refreshing summer drinker.

Reviewing this within the style, given that I'm deeply opposed to kölschs generally. Color is straw, a small head and a touch of lacing. Nose is a touch of candy malt, some light fruitiness. Maybe a whiff of hops. Very mild. Limited flavor, although I guess that's the kölsch way. (I seriously don't get it...why would people drink this?)

maybe a little bland or watery for some beer geeks, but this is insanely drinkable, and i can see its appeal in hot weather, and it was a good addition to the summer box this year, no doubt. we need beers like this, craft alternatives to the macro yellow beer, and kolsch is a great style for that. this one isnt real unique, but it is real well made. light even for the style, there isnt much grain body or flavor to this, just a pale two row base. there is a cool german yeast thing going on, clean and delicate, but giving it a nice round flavor and feel, and a good pinch of euro type hops in there too for the finish. highly carbonated makes it very refreshing, and the fast finish keeps me thirsty for another one. this is one of those beers where it feels like a whole bottle is gone in just a couple of sips over a few minutes, its just so easy going. victory has been slow to get much traction in colorado, but their beers are all very good. i expect to see it blow up before too long out here.

Pale golden color topped by a nice, thick off-white head. Pale doughy malt sweetness, honey, and grassy spice in the nose. Malts are a bit more cracker-like in the flavor, though the subtle honey sweetness remains. Hops are somewhat leafier, but still very noble in nature adding a mild bitterness. Appropriately soft overall. Light, smooth, and crisp. Victory is good at this sort of thing.

Another fantastic German beer style nailed by Victory.

Sweet malt aroma. Bread, cracker and honey malt notes with a hint of herbal bitterness for balance. Clean finish. A tad dry.

This is phenomenal. Should be put into regular rotation and canned. Replaces Four Peaks Sunbrü as best US made kolsch I have ever had.

What a nicely balanced beer. This beer is understated, but it doesn't lack in flavor. It's not a crazy "HOP EXPLOSION" sort of beer, so if that's what you're into, you should probably look elsewhere, but this is a tasty, drinkable, and refreshing brew. Great balance between mild grassy hops and a brown sugar sweetness from the malt. Finishes crisp and somewhat dry, and leaves you with a mildly piney/semi-sweet aftertaste.

6/26...pours bright gold, white foam rings high. Clean malty smell. Very faint. Clean taste, slight citrus, chalky finish. Light hop bitter at the very end. Nice summer brew.

A little bit of a pale yellow with a ton of carbonation. Very nice corn and wheat smell. Taste is a little bitter but smooth. This Brewery is so good.

12 oz bottle. Clear, light gold color. Tall, fluffy white head. Mild fruit in the aroma with some light earthy hops. Light sweetness in the flavor and the fruit sticks around. Medium light bodied. Smooth and clean. A well done Kölsch that is not too far off from its German siblings.

A: Pours a clear straw yellow color with a fingers worth of head that slowly fades down to a decent cap that leaves some moderate lacing

S: Some nice fruity notes compliment a grainy pilsner malt maltiness. Hints of citrus as well as some earth in there also

T: Follows the nose. Hints of earthy and spicy hops come along with the fruitiness and the pilsner malt. Some wheat twangs are in there as well. Finishes with lingering grainy notes and light fruitiness

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A very nicely rounded brew that is extremely easy to drink. Definitely a nice compliment to the summer pack

LOOK: A golden color with excellent clarity. A sheet of white head laces the glass very well. It is a nice looking beer and appropriate for the style.

SMELL: Bread, Biscuit, grass, lemon, herb. Spicy hops with notes of green and red peppercorn. Munich style malts and euro hops big time.

TASTE: Crisp and clean brew with plenty of bread and herbal hop bitterness. German flavor big time, clean and fresh tasting hops, has a pilsner malt flavor lingering.

FEEL: LIght bodied, well carbonated, crisp and very clean. More than drinkable, this would fit into summer quencher category. Perfect feel for the style.

OVERALL: A very fresh, tasty and sessionable Kolsch.

Light, cracker-like goodness. The head fades quickly, but this is definitely one of the better American-brewed examples of the style that I have had. Just enough hops for bitterness without overpowering what the beer should be.

What a surprise this beauty was. I honestly think its a much better lager than Prima. For a Kolsch its nearly perfectly crafted to style in everyway. It even has a sweetness and smooth finish that doesn't leave your pallet dry like heavily hopped pilsners or other Kolsch's I've sampled. This one is a perfect summer thirst quencher beer. A must try for lager lovers.

The beer comes in a very light color, a straw yellow.

The aroma hits of light touches of honey, sweet and sugary bread, some lager yeast, lemon zest. A spot on nose.

The flavor hits of sweet white bread, a touch of honey, some grassy hops, a bit of spice, a longing quality of metallic lager flavor. A dry finish with not much left on the palate.

A touch watery for a kolsch, but a great nose and solid flavors throughout.

Really enjoyed this style. It is a Summer must have! It pours a clean golden straw color with a white head to it. The aroma is of hops, malt, and citrus. The taste was awesome! It was light, crisp, yet slightly hoppy and had a citrus zing at the end. I really liked this for the hot days of summer. I cracked one as soon as I got home after an 85° day and it was perfect! I suggest you get this beer in your summer lineup!

From the Victory Tap - beautiful transparent straw color with light foam and pretty lacing. A very light sweet malt nose with a hint of hop. Taste follows - such a delicate but satisfying beer.
