On-tap @ As Is in New York, NY.
Pale gold color and clear with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Herbal hops hit the nose first with bready, somewhat sweet pils malt to follow. The hops shine through in the flavor but almost too much so, leaving a dry and bitter finish. Body is a little too heavy and missing a little of that light crispness that I love in a great pilsner. Not a bad beer by any means, but could benefit from a few minor tweaks.

Full pour at Pony Bar in NYC.
I'd heard rumors that this beer wasn't all that or such an such. Such rumors are unfounded. This beer is excellent and all that a great pilsner can be.
I got crispness, a dry, sharp grassy hop character. French bread-like malt flavor approaching a sweetness of a saltine cracker. For most, nothing earth-shattering here, I get that, but it was clean and delicious.
Above all, the beer was killing it in the refreshing category. Just hit the spot. Only a few days earlier I'd partaken in a liter of Prima Pils and marveled at how ideal it was for the hot weather and the long walk I'd done. This beer falls in to the same category. The clean, crisp refreshment of the beer just hit the spot.
