The beer pours a light, hazy gold color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I get the expected bananna and clove, with a hint of pepper. Flavors on the palate generally replicate the nose, but I'm impressed by the amount of flavor this beer delivers, and by how soft, smooth and long the finish is. There is a bit of underlying hoppy bitterness in this beer that I think enhances the flavor profile and drinkability, and also counters the moderate (at most) sweetness. Mouthfeel is impressive and the beer is quite drinkable.

A very solid beer from Victory and something I wouldn't mind seeing around a bit more often in the summer. I wouldn't hesitate to order this beer again.

A- Poured gently from the tap with a thin flat white head, which quickly dissipated, leaving a touch of lacing behind. The body is a hazy yellow... completely opaque... and no significant signs of carbonation.

S- Smells of banana bread dough, with hints of wheat and yeast, and just a touch of lemon and straw.

T- Tastes like a lemony banana bread... a bit yeasty... the taste is coming-off more like a traditional weisse beer, rather than the hefe-wiesse it is categorized as...

M- Despite the straight weiss taste, the mouthfeel is quite reminiscent of a hefe... thick and granular... full body... soft carbonation...

D- Very drinkable and refreshing. The lighter taste makes this beer go down quite easily... very nice beer.

Draught @ Victory: This one pours a cloudy straw yellow color. It had a thick, fluffy white head that left some lacing. The aroma is quite good. Wheat, citrus, grassy, clove are the main ones. The taste is good. Wheat, a touch of citrus, spices. There is a dry finish with a touch of bitterness. Nice.

Served on-tap at Victory in a wheat beer glass

Pours a golden yellow hazy color with a thick white head with a lot of porosity

The yeast is present in the nose, with some lemon zest and a bit of mixed spices

The flavor was consistent with the nose, with a strong wheaty flavor and some spice in the back. Finishes with a bit of sweetness, but not too much.

Very creamy and delightful, really refreshing on a warm day. I could have sat there and had a bunch of these today, but too much else to do. Not sure how long this will be around - obviously it was done for the CBC and has been available for a while already. If you are around, grab one or two.

This one poured a straw yellow that was slightly hazy and a thick white, pillowy head. The smell is spicy with a hint of wheat, grass, and citrus. The taste was also spicy with the great wheat and a slight grassy hop presence. Its similar to the Sunrise Weiss but slightly drier and spicier. I tried it alongside the Mad King's Weiss and the MK was a lot sweeter. The mouthfeel was creamy and definitely what I look for in a Hefe. Drinkability was superb but thats what you get with a good Hefeweizen!
