Classic east-coast meets west-coast IIPA! A hoppy-malty combination of dankness!

This time, it's two twelve ounce cans that are emptied into a clear glass liter mug. It's opaque, as an unfiltered DIPA should be. There's very little head, although these cans are at a cold winter in Pennsylvania room temperature. There's not much aroma, just a little malt and a little hops, but nothing distinguished. The taste is pretty good, but not noteworthy. The body is pleasant for any style of ale. Now to specifics, starting with the taste. The beginning is a sweet malt one, but it's subtle and pleasurable. Then, in standard for the style, the hops appear to the taste buds. In this case, they're wet and mildly dank. That makes this a brew that can be readily pounded down. The mouthfeel is excellent for the style and ABV. The ABV is more evident than some within this style, but in the overall, it adds to, rather than detracts from, the drinking experience. There's nothing to dislike about this offering, but there's also no reason to seek it out.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mostly of citrus, hints of pine. Taste is piney, citrus, some dankness, malts are present, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

12oz can into a pint glass. Best by 2/13/22, so plenty fresh.
Surprisingly look. Victory calls this unfiltered, but it's an almost clear golden yellow body. Small white head shrinks to a fat collar, not much lacing.
Slightly sweet musty hoppy aroma.
On tasting, grapefruit and orange pound any non citrus into submission, so it's a little bitey. Solid malt base delivers some sweetness. Abv warmth felt. There is also a delightful dry spice note.
Mouth close to full, finish a hoppy, sweet, peppery progression.
Overall, very good interpretation of the style. Loved the dry spice laying on a sweet hoppy bed.

Poured into a pint glass: color is gold, slight haze, head is light tan, head presents 1 finger thick and then dissipates to a solid top.
Smell is classic DIPA: citrus, pine, pith, light spice, subtle fruitiness, light malty sweetness, hit of booze.
Taste is similar with hop forward flavors of citrus, pine, earthy spice, light stone fruit, more pronounced malt and bread flavor than aroma.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate/strong bitterness.
Overall a very solid DIPA, on the sweeter side in the tradition of classic examples but pleasant malt flavor that Victory brings to most of its offerings.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a bubble show that builds to two fingers; shards appear
Smell: Touches of pine and citrus rise over a hint of cake malt; given the hop bill, it is more delicate than expected
Taste: Spicy pine with some cake malt underneath; a touch of grapefruit citrus, in the middle; resins finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A new old school West Coaster; nice to see the throwback

A nice offering from Victory. Nice mix of hop aroma and tastes. Good, but it seams like I have had this a hundred times before. Worth a shot if you run across it.

Well balanced. The tibulits of this beer are phenomenal. The fligulation point is unlike anything I've ever had. High alcohol percentage. A must have if you're on smoko.

decent offering from a very strong outfit. Well done, Victory! Best by 2/13/22, consumed 10/10/21, so good job getting the local stuff in asap.

S: I'm getting citrus and a good bit of pine. Fine by me.
T: Getting some grapefruit and lip smacking hop bitterness. Works for me!
F: Smooth and rich.
O: Nice brew - thanks for trying something new, folks at Victory!

Hazed gold appearance with a large white head and good lacing. Prominent tropical fruit aroma paired with citrus. Malts are harder to identify and isolate. A resinous flavor serves as the springboard for the remaining hop profile, again tropical but also some orchard fruit and citrus. Zesty mouthfeel keeps things interesting as the finish lingers.

Pours a slightly hazy golden straw color with a finger of head. The nose has some potent hop character - a little orange and a little pine poke through. The malt backbone is strong with a more than healthy bitter finish.
This was definitely worth a try.
