Appearance: golden yellow in color with a short 1/2" head.

Smell: grass, some hints of earthiness, and a mild hop presence creates a nice aroma.

Taste: grainy malt profile with a hint of breadiness late. Green grapes, grass, lemon zest, and a mild bitterness create a flavorful beer.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crsip throughout. Very brief aftertaste here.

Drinkability: this is a very quaffable beer and if you are looking for a solid Pils, this will hit the spot.

On tap at Max's today.

Pouring straw yellow with a dense white head with decent retention and some lacing, this beer looks good in the glass. The nose is quite excellent. The kellerpils aspect is wonderful, grainy, raw and a little bready, but the hops really don't come through very much. I get a faint hop character, something that I would not really guess was summit. The palate is similar, opening with a great grainy character with raw cereals and a nice dry, cracker-like pils malt character. The hop flavor is low, I'd be hard pressed to identify characteristics . Mild bitterness is present, this beer dries out on the finish with plenty of grainy and cracker character. Moderate carbonation, this beer is solid stuff, but nothing compared to the Saaz-hopped version.
