I found this to be a very interesting beer. It is brewed with Rosemary and the flavor is very present in the beer, but I did not find it over-powering. I do not recommend this beer for anyone that is not fond of rosemary or very herbal/spiced beers.

Aroma is dominated by the rosemary present in the beer. The taste begins with a crisp slightly hoppy taste and is followed by the flavor of rosemary. Drinkability depends on your fondness of rosemary.

A - clear golden with a solid foam of head.

S - Mint and rosemary dominate the nose along with a bready aroma as well.

T - Complex honey sweetness and some savory herbs. A very dry herbal bitter finish.

M - Sharp carbonation. Extremely dry and this becomes apparent very quickly.

O - As a beer to pair with food, this is exceptional. Its complexities lend it to a number of possibilities for pairing that I wish I could explore. Somewhat drinkable, though 12 oz. would be excessive. The herbs were done well and make this a fairly unique brew. Well done.

First of all, this is not an American Pale Ale. This is an Herb/Spice Beer, since it is brewed with Rosemary. I got this beer at Beer Heaven on Columbus Blvd. in Philly. It is a collaboration beer with two local chefs and Victory Brewing. The chefs are very competitive brothers, Terry and Patrick Feury, who are head chefs at Fork and Nectar respectively.

The appearance is good, with a very nice finger of soapy white head and an attractive golden body. Decently carbonated.

The smell is perfect, exactly what on should strive for: a great citrus and herbal aroma that is not a bit overdone. This smells fresher than any beer conceivably could. The aroma comes off as rustic and relaxing, and drives your senses immediately to the endless food pairings.

Ever so refreshing, perfect for this wonderful spring day. Light lemony flavor that compliments the Rosemary. Lightly bitter, with a tinge of tartness. Definitely under control though, as the Vienna and Pilsner malt aid to strike a balance with this beer. Some might be looking for something more shocking with this beer, but they will be disappointed. This is a beer for sipping on a fresh breezy day, or pairing with your Rosemary-lemon chicken, or even cooking with. That was what was intended for this beer and that is what they achieved.

The body is "crisp and dry" like the label says. Medium bodied.

Again, this beer is miscategorized, and should not be judged by APA standards. This is a beer with a lot of potential. Light citrus and herbal aroma and taste, clear golden in color, with a crisp, dry body...executed to perfection. I say if you find this beer for sale, purchase all of them. You will never be lacking the right time to have a pint.
