Victory Brewing Company Philadelphia "Hop Papa"
$6/10 oz. at the brewery on 9 August 2023
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is "An easy drinking floral and fruity Hazy IPA with notes of Pineapple and Lime from our dry hop of Moteuka, BRU-1, Loral, and Lemon Drop." The body is a hazy golden-orange beneath a short head of white foam. The head retention is limited but the lacing is OK ~ I'm not so sure the pour was that great to start off with; if there's no head to begin with you can't tell how good the retention is. The aroma is floral, citrusy, and tropical as suggested. It's not the brightest but it's still good. The flavor is fuller and richer with clear notes of pineapple, lime, delicate berry, and earth & herbs. The malt is sweetish and balanced, and it finishes dry with citrus and earthiness lingering shortly. The body is medium and it's gently crisp. Overall this is an interesting IPA that satisfies.
