Notes via stream of consciousness: Well it's April 1st, 2024 so I've just made it under the wire with this one. It's poured a hazy golden body beneath a finger's width of white foam. I was wondering about the name on this one, thinking that maybe it referred to a soda pop, but now I see that Cryo Pop is a blend of hops from Yakima Chief. The label suggests notes of stone fruit so let's see... yes, I agree, I'm getting peach, nectarine, apricot, apple, orange, and berries. I'm also finding some coconut which is a little weird. On to the taste then, it's sweetish with a fairly basic and bready malt base that acts as a catapult for the hops. Everything found in the nose remains with some additional mango, pineapple, melon, and lemon. It's also resinous, and a touch citrusy in terms of pith. It's not that bitter but that resinous character and some alcohol help to dry it. How strong is this? Oh, it's 8.5%; that'll do! It's sweetish, and very tropical overall, but then it ends dry with resins and earthiness and bitterness lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp and then smooth with the exception of a snap from the alcohol. The head retention was not that great, and that started right upfront but it did leave some initial lacing that's quite nice. Once the head had dropped however, it left little. That can happen with stronger beers but this one also has a lot of malt to it. Anyway, I think this is a decent enough beer that's worth trying. If you like stronger, hoppy beers with a strong tropical character it might be right up your alley.

Light yellow hazy appearance with a loose white head and fair to sparse lacing. Grapefruit, pineapple, lemon notes. Moderate to light body, fizzy carbonation and mouthfeel.
