Locally Brewed. Locally Baked. Locally Loved. This very tasty collaboration between Victory Brewing Company and TastyKake takes the delicious flavors of TastyKake's Koffee Kake into a sweet ale with notes of pound cake and cinnamon.

A last-minute single at the liquor store, what to get? 'IPA this' and 'IPA that,' next to singles of Corona Extra for some reason… then this. Bought it for the goof, turned out a diamond in the rough. Beautifully unfiltered, the cinnamon and hop spice somehow mixing in the best way.

12oz bottle. No dating information found, purchased as a single.
Cloudy toward murky, deep gold colored body. Off white head which lingers as a cap and ring. Leaves behind some jotted horizontal lines of lacing.
Aroma of maple syrup, cinnamon, sweet cake, and vanilla.
Taste is more bitter than expected but well balanced with the sweeter flavors. To have a pound cake inside of a fermented malt beverage is not to be expected but seems to work as a very sweet concoction. Cinnamon and vanilla influencers. Artificial flavors persist.
Medium mouthfeel. Caramel smooth. Good and supportive carbonation.
Repeated reminders of a pound cake during the session.

Interesting, it starts bitter then followed by a rather strong sweet taste of vanilla/caramel. This last for several sips then the dessert like flavor takes over. Kinda fun to drink but I would not seek it out again.

Funny to get as a gift, fun to make everyone have a sip, not that great to finish. Definitely has a cinnamon/artificial vanilla aftertaste.

Kind of falls short really a bit too bitter for a creme ale maybe thats why its listed more of a pale ale. Didn't get much in the terms of coffee or cinnamon it was mostly some sweet vanilla and a touch of skunk hops. Not really worth picking up

Pours a medium gold color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of vanilla and burnt sugar. Taste is spicy cinnamon and vanilla. Crisp and dry. Slightly bitter finish.

12 oz bottle poured into a willi becher glass. This beer is exactly what is sets out to be; so it's a success in that sense. I wouldn't say I loved it, but I can't really fault it for accomplishing what it sets out to do. It tastes like coffee, vanilla icing, and cinnamon, with a mild malty note. It's not cloying, so that's good. No hops other than perhaps a faint citrusy whiff (maybe). Overall it's definitely worth a try and probably a six pack if you like this sort of concoction. I picked up a single as part of a mix-6 and that's good enough for me.
