On the menu as Jose Garces Victory House Brew... was told a name is pending.
Pours a lightly hazed golden straw, minimal head of white froth but some decent sticky lacing. Scent is quite pale... notes of fresh, doughy and yeasty baked bread, a pinch lemon zest and another of fresh cracked black pepper. Taste was quite mild and presented all the components of scent. Very bready but lacks the bold yeasty notes commonly associated with the style. Ingredient profile very fresh tasting. Was told the goal was to have an approachable beer that all could enjoy, and it did its job. Lighter side of medium bodied, creamy with a touch less carbonation than typically found in the style. Overall, a really nice mild and clean take on the traditional Hefe. Perfect lighter beer to pair with a full flavored meal at either of the Garces Restaurants this appears at.
