Victory : Sommerbock
Growler courtesy of SmoothNCrisp and God's Brother.
LOOK: Pours a clear pale yellow. White head forms and subsides to a halo lasting the duration of the drinking experience.
SMELL: Bready yeast and flowery hops. Lager yeast is also there with a clean crackery aroma.
TASTE: Ultra clean German pale malts are strong in the flavor, with a light toffee flavor. Hops are leafy and tea like with a mild spiciness to them. Clean lager with small hops and sweet pale malts.
FEEL: Medium bodied, well carbonated brew. Drinks effortlessly and smoothly. Perfect level of carbonation.
OVERALL: A solid golden bock that tastes very much like its German brethren. Quite enjoyable.

Golden color. Great clarity, however, the lack of a good head falters the appearance.
Sweet lager nose with cereal grains and a floral hop presence. Hints of musty citrus and some butteriness. Pale and sweet-smelling.
Nice. Reminds me of Glissade. Floral hops and creamy malts with herbal citrus notes and flowery tones. Some corn notes. Summery, maybe. A spring bock, for sure. Late bitterness blends with grainy notes to balance things out. Tasty.
Okay, for smoothness. I like the slight gruff carb touch, but the body is harmonious.
A good bock. Would grab a sixer of.
