12oz bottle in a stemmed tulip glass.

A- Hazy dull orange color with abundant carbonation. The massive white head ends up as a scoop of foam in the middle of the beer. Lots of clingy lacing stays behind as the glass empties.

S- Lots of citrus hops followed by more citrus and piney hops. Some alcohol sugars sweeten the smell. Not much of a malt smell around.

T- Grapefruit, citrus hop flavors dominate. There's some pine and sugar candy.

M- Tingly carbonation gives it a lighter, easy drinking feel. There's hop bite and a long hop finish with just a touch of sweetness.

O- A citrus hop bomb that pleases me.

A gift from my late brother's stash -- his wife doesn't drink beer, so I'm a frequent recipient of clean-out prizes.

Best by date a month past, but let's try it

L -- Clear, light gold with a firm white head.

S -- Light caramel malts with the fresh type of DMS.

T -- Bitter resin hops up front with light caramel malts attempting a backbone. Finish is resiny with light herbal and citrus notes and major bitterness. There's a sharp alcohol character behind the bitterness in the aftertaste with the malts still lingering.

F -- Mouthfeel is slick to lightly syrupy with a dry finish and light-robust body.

O -- Yeah, it's a bitter, hoppy, DIPA. I guess you can't say they're faulting in advertising -- but is it a standout DIPA? Not really.

12 oz can best by July 29, 2026 into a barrel glass.
L: Pours clear light gold caramel color with a matte white head, light steady carbo, the head slowly recedes to heavy edge froth, medium-light complex full circumference lacing.
S: Diesel dankness, slightly catty, grassy vegetal hop notes, distant caramelized malts, slightly industrial. It is pungent.
T: Slightly sharp & tangy hops, dank diesel, sweet caramel malts mingle with resinous hop and complex fruit notes that stick and have a long linger then go a bit wide. Malts emerge late with a subtle and fast-departing bread dough note.
F: Brisk then smooth, soft water. A medium bodied mouthfeel with a medium-long drying finish. feels wet prior to the finish.
O: Very hop forward with a dank tastes and aroma. It is refreshing, lightly tacky, and is bold tasting overall but isn't intense or overly bitter. Malts are back up for the bitter finish. This is a self-supportive DIPA that is world-class.

12oz can, painted label. Bottom stamp is 'BEST BY: 09 JUL 26'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of large bubble, white colored head with the pour, and this slowly degrades to a pillowy cap. Leaves behind expansive horizontal layers of lacing.
Aroma of citrus, pine, tropical, and floral.
Taste is slightly sweet with a definite bitterness from the onset through the end. Caramel malt base allows the higher hops to express citrus, pine, tropical, and floral. Resounding resin bitterness. Orange, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, and pine. Aftertaste is more sweet but still retains the bitter edge.
Medium mouthfeel. Slight syrup for texture. Drier finish. Hop bitterness is real. Very good carbonation.
I have tried this many times in the past but local availability has been lacking for 8-10 years. An example of a Double IPA before introduction of the Hazy IPA style. An old school hop bitter Double IPA with a sweet caramel malt base. Rather jarring at this point in time, but still YUM.

Excellent DIPA that could be God tier if the sweetness was dialed down just a touch. The golden/copper blended look alone sets it apart from many filtered DIPAs. The hops do come to the forefront despite a sweet nature. Delicate floral, assertive citrus, and plentiful pine are present. Bitterness does its job cutting the sweetness down quite a bit creating a drinkability that could be dangerous at this ABV. A great example of the classic DIPA that compares to some of the "best"

Pours a clear light bronze color with a moderate white head. The aroma is fruity; most notably citrus orange and apricot. It has a bitter malty taste that overpowers any other flavor. The mouth feel is thick and syrupy.

Clear, golden color. Good-looking, white head. Pine, herbs, and malt in the aroma. Strong, hoppy bitterness in taste is balanced by a malty background. Classic DIPA.

Poured chilled from a 12oz can into a 16oz pint glass.
Appearance is clear straw/pale gold with a 3-finger foamy white head that recedes slowly. Good amount of lacing on the glass.
Aroma is malt and freshly mowed grass. Hardly any hops detected....weird.
Taste follows the nose with a punch of grass and dank with sweet malt.
Mouthfeel is medium. Light on the carbonation. Oily feel in the mouth. Sweet malt front, moderate to heavy bittering on the back.
Overall this is "ok". Seems a bit unbalanced. Maybe I have an old 12-pack but according to the best by date, I have 3 months left. So maybe this is just nearing the end of its life, but it's not a great tasting thirst quenching drinkable beer. Again, it's just "ok". Chalking it up to an old case. Would try it again as I usually enjoy Victory's beers....Hopefully a fresher sampling.

Copenhagen 13/4 2024. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Blue and green can with hybrid of a snarling wolf and the flower of the hop plant.

Pours clear golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a 5 cm thick layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Massive lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fermented odor of tropical fruits mingling with a citric scent. Overripe mango and passion fruit. Grapefruit and lemon. Whiff of metallic alcohol.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.

Fine fruity DIPA.

Look: clear gold, creamy head, scattered lacing
Smell: pine resin, citrus, earthy, dank
Taste: pine resin, apricot, spice, grapefruit
Feel: med body, moderate carbo, good bitterness
Overall: 8.7% abv, 85 IBU. Had to buy the Victory variety pack just to get this but it was well worth it. Scent is resinous and earthy with some dank citrus notes. Taste doesn't disappoint. Heavy pine resin up front then the citrus comes in hitting the taste buds with apricot and grapefruit. The apricot seems to stand out. Good bitterness. Wonderful taste lingers on the palate, and I love it. DirtWolf pairs well with Night Wolf by Krokus. This untamed DIPA is on the prowl.

On draught in a snifter, pours n opaque golden color. A substantial head that outlast the beer it floats on. A full bodied beer.
Flavor is enjoyable, hops piney, resin, pineapple and tropical fruit flavor are well balanced. Nice and crisp on the finish, with a smooth bitterness that lingers.
I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this one.
