On tap at the brewpub in Sylva.
BB aged version of their Pumpkin-chai Five.
Cloudy amber; limited lacing and head. Looks like unfiltered cider.
feel: near medium body; good light carbonation.
Flavor lacks the excellent balanced mix of spices and malty ale found in the regular version, but adds some nice bourbon, oak, vanilla and fruity notes. Spicing is much more subtle. Very nice bitter/sweet balance too. medium complexity. Super aftertaste.
O: Excellent barrel aged pumpkin ale, definitely worth seeking out.
