Appearance. Nearly black and essentially opaque with a good beige head.
Aroma. Notes of coffee, vanilla and chocolate.
The flavor is more hoppy and less sweet than expected. In fact, this has the bitterness typical of an American Stout.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with appreciable smoothness (fostered by some oats) yet a slight touch of harshness too.
