a well made wheat beer with raspberries, pretty soft rose pink in color with a fizzy soda-like head from the tap and a bright aroma of fresh raspberries, very natural and very forward, with an almost wit type yeast in the background and the dry earthy wheat, simple and summery for sure, a real easy drinker too, nice in warm weather and still tasting enough like beer to hold my attention. the wheat base is sturdy in that this has some flavor from the grain as well as some body, but it doesnt make this conventionally malty or heavy, instead it just supports and extends the fresh raspberries really nicely, they arent just in the finish but all the way through, and they are beautifully tangy and sweet and ripe in here, juicy and delicious. the lightly estery thing happening is a little weird, and it doesnt warm up very well as a result as that element becomes more and more obvious, but this is not a beer to drink slowly, at least for me, and i have no problem with the pint getting very warm, this is a summer slammer with a very natural raspberry profile, wide appeal brew, well done.

I got this from my old neighbor....i think....was in the fridge for a while and probably would be better on a summer day as opposes to sub zero winter day. It poured a clear pinkish hued copper with no head and no lace. The scent had raspberry undertones. The taste was raspberry crystal lite. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok.

I spotted this one a Binnys and have always liked their other beers when I have had them on tap, so figured why not, looks like a nice summer beer.

Poured into a pint glass, the beer is a hazy red/purple color. There is a nice skim of bone colored head.

It has a big aroma of raspberries. It is about all I get but it does smell nice.

The beer is slightly sweet and very berry forward. However, the base beer adds just enough balance to reign in the sweetness. It is refreshing but kind of a once a day type beer for me.

The mouth is a bit on the thinner side but at 4.8% that is not a surprise.

I’m glad I got a sixer and it is an easy beer to give to non-craft drinkers as well.

Pours a hazy mahogany color. 1/5 inch head of an off-pink color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of raspberries, floral hops, sweet malt, slight caramel malt, and a hint of yeast. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Tastes of raspberries, floral hops, sweet malt, hint of wheat, slight caramel malt, and a hint of yeast. Overall, weak appearance, but average otherwise.

Reddish pink and hazy, some spotty lacing. Natural fresh raspberry aroma.
Tart raspberry flavor, natural and fruity. Seems almost like a Berliner Weiss lite.
Light bodied and a touch watery. Overall though it's a tasty summer quencher, though pretty much just a fruity alcohol delivery vehicle. And that's ok.

16oz draft pour into a bulbous pint glass shows a hazy pinkish body and floats a 1/2in light pink head leaving a webbed lacing.

Aroma is mostly raspberry with s citrus hint.
Flavor is all raspberry but seems watery.
Mouthfeel is thin and dry.
Overall a nice pallette cleanser.

Pours a gorgeous pink hued cranberry color. Raspberries, wheat, lemon and a hint of orange peel. Medium bodied. Creamy feel. Very short finish. Makes you want to keep in drinking. Subtle raspberry. Not bursting with flavor overall, but it's extremely drinkable.

I liked the wheat backbone and pale hops. But the smell is a bit off putting, with sour wheat and jolly rancher raspberry at the front. In the taste the raspberry is artificial tasting, and the body seems like a macro beer. Not for me, but the wife liked it.

12 oz. bottle, no bottled on date. Fresh. "Wheat Ale with Raspberries Added".

Poured to a Brasserie D'Achouffe tulip.

A - Pours a beautiful juicy hazy raspberry juice puree colored body. Just over a finger of frothy pinkish tinted white foam for a head. Good fluffy lacing. Very nice color on this one, looks excellent.

S - Pleasant aroma: good display of earthy, tart, juicy raspberries.

T - Taste is the same: lots of tart earthy raspberry juice puree, earthy wheat / grassiness, lemon / citrus notes. Tart, floral, earthy, & grassy. Good balance between the raspberry tartness and the light earthiness of the wheat.

M - Feel is smooth, crisp, & clean. Grassy, with light tartness. Very light, fluffy, and easy-drinking stuff.

Overall, a nice raspberry wheat beer from Pollyanna. Refershing and sessionable.

Pollyanna Brewing Summerly -----4/5.

On tap at Ditka's - Oak Brook, IL
A - pink colored ale (my wife and I had to laugh at its pinkness - it looks like a cocktail), exceptionally creamy white head holds excellent retention leaving some lacing on the glass
S - fruity raspberry, wheat, earthy hops
T - nice and refreshing with notes of raspberry, nutty pale malt, cracked wheat, mild earthy hops
M - lighter body, moderate carbonation, goes down easy with just the right amount of raspberry
O - good raspberry ale. Great for a hot summer day, hence the name Summerly.
