Thanks to Joe for this one. I have been itching to try a beer from these guys.
Deep copper body, boardering on mahogany. Clear, with a one finger beige head that dissipates to a pencil thin line around the glass.
Bready, grainy aroma. A nice big wiff of caramel. Hints of ripe red apple and Ricola.
Toasted malts and caramel up front in the taste. A nice bite of apple and medicinal hops mingle around.
Medium bodied with good carbonation. Soft, smooth mouth feel. Wonderful dry finish.

All around a great marzen. On the heavier side for the style but it by no means crosses a line. The closest thing to the balance and complexity of Paulaner that one would find here in the States.

Very good marzen from Pollyanna. Faired favorable in our family's head to head with other marzens. The bready and sweet body and taste really lead the charge on the palate. And the smell is exactly what you want for the style

20oz draft pour into a Society mug has a cloudy amber colored body and floats a 1/2in cream colored head that falls to a persistent cap and leaves nice thick lacing. Later draws are a more representative clear body. (9/29 Edit from July original review.)
Aroma is right there with a clean breadiness that almost has a flowery character.
Flavor matches.
Mouthfeel leans a heavier medium with a clean finish.
Overall I like it but the heaviness pulls down the score a bit.

12oz bottle
A - rigorous pour reveals a deep caramel colored beer capped with a thin ivory head that fades to nearly nothing pretty quickly
S - malty nose with caramel, toffee, toasty grain, and earthy hops
T - malt forward with notes similar to the aroma: nutty toasted grain, caramel, toffee, earthy & spicy hops
M - medium body, low carbonation; crisp, clean, well-balanced dry finish
O - nice flavors here and I am pleasantly surprised with this one. I prefer some of the German brewed ones over this, but I'd buy it again if I was looking for a locally brewed Märzen.

Congrats on the GABF medal for this one!
Draft at Map Room, served in a mug.

Bright saturated copper tone, compact head of foam and a halo of delicate lacing forms at the edges.
Aroma is dry and toasty, lightly grainy and nutty.
Taste is much the same, dry toasty malt with a light residual nutty flavor, mellow feel with a light bitterness.
Light bodied and drinkable, ample carbonation and body that make it smooth and supple. Nice stuff.
