This fall seasonal scotch ale is spiced with vanilla beans and pumpkin and packs a wee heavy punch, with a smooth malty taste.

Pours a cloudy orange color. Not much pumpkin flavor. Delayed flavor that is overpoweringly alcoholic.

12oz can poured into a snifter
canned 7/25/17
A- pours a deep copper color with a ruby hue, one-finger foamy off-white head that reduces to leave nothing behind
S- sweet and malty up front with aromas of caramel & vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon & pumpkin flesh
T- sweet caramel and toffee up front, quickly followed by vanilla cream & brown sugar sweetness. Mid-palate brings out some vegetal pumpkin flavor, as well as cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish brings out more sweet malt and lingers of spices
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and slightly creamy finish
O- the maltiness of the base beer works well with the pumpkin spices

A: Pours a hazy medium mahogany in color with moderate amounts of gentle visible carbonation along the edges of the glass and some faint amber + garnet red + copper highlights. The beer has a two finger tall creamy foamy tan head that reduces quickly to large patch of thin film covering about 75% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon + nutmeg) and pumpkin over the top of caramel malts and a hint of vanilla.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of caramel malts with a hint of toasted malts and a moderate amount of caramel + brown sugar sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of pumpkin and moderate flavors of pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon + nutmeg). Finally there is a light to moderate flavor of vanilla in the finish. Light amounts of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Hints of spice dryness in the finish.
O: This beer is pretty enjoyable and I like the fact that the base beer is a Wee Heavy/Scotch Ale with the pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices added. Easy to drink.
