Pours a hazy brown-orange color, not much head, with a little bit of sediment visible at the bottom of the glass. Raisin, sugar, and vanilla aromas. Flavor matches, with some funky Belgian yeast weaving it way in there. Flavor profile is very complex, and all the elements change in proportion to each other with each sip. That is a characteristic of some of my favorite beers - each sip tastes a bit different. The vanilla is most prominent on the finish. Smooth mouthfeel. Very warming feeling. Kinda like a wine, it seems to need to breathe a bit. If it's coming out of the refrigerator, I recommend pouring it into a tulip glass and letting it sit for 10 or 20 minutes to breathe and warm up a bit. 14% ABV, so go slow. Good sipping beer, and for me, one is definitely enough!

Came in a goblet a rich deep burgundy-like color with a thick creamy slight off white head atop that settled nicely into a frothy mass.Candied fruits and spiced phenols stood out most in the nose, the alcohol is quite big as well.Drier than expected on the palate with phenols and rock candy notes,a bit of earth in the finish but the sweet alcohol does creep up after a bit.A solid NC made Quad, not overly complex but flavorful none the less.
