The beer is pale straw (SRM 1-2) with a short-lived, one-inch white froth. A thin lacing and chill haze are apparent within a PBGC dimpled mug.
Coconut Lime delivers big time, regardless of the power of suggestion. I am also detecting a clear background of bay breeze. This is a very unusual and unexpectedly pleasant aroma profile for a beer. Imagine super sweet key lime pie.
The balance is well done between sweet and tart flavors. Each oscillates between strong and modest, and forms an aggregated balance. The key lime pie and coconut play surprisingly well with a light, earthy brine. The finish is quick and mild.
This beer has a light body and absolutely no alcohol presence. The texture is soft and ethereally, silky with an explosive burst of carbonation. A sudden dryness confronts the palate very late in each sip and carries through the finish.
This is a fun and refreshing beer. It is crisp and thirst-quenching. I definitely look forward to finding it again. It would pair nicely with shrimp or clams on a cool, early-Autumn afternoon at the shore.
