Growler purchased today being poured into pint glass:
Look: Pours a nice clear to straw colored yellow. About an inch of head present and lacing retention is great.
Smell: Huge notes of coffee on the nose which is fantastic. This thing smells exactly like the Ballast Point Calm Before The Storm.
Taste: Lots of coffee coming thru. Like the smell this reminds me of the Ballast Point Calm Before The Storm. The coffee is hitting me just right.
Feel: Light to medium bodied. Nice and crisp.
Overall: Fantastic brew from the crew at Brew Gentlemen. This is my first beer from these guys and won't be my last. Everything about this beer reminds me of the Calm Before The Storm from Ballast Point. Glad I got a full growler of this beer to enjoy and I would revisit this one!

Hands down my favorite by The Brew Gentlemen! A blonde ale with coffee, who would of guessed to make such a great brew?!? Poured a nice clear clear yellow/straw color, minimal head, smells of coffee, coffee and more coffee. Taking a sip, I honestly felt like I was drinking a nice cold brew of coffee. Smooth and easy on the palate. Should of grabbed a growler!

Never thought of blending a blonde with coffee, & it would seem like a disparate recipe for disaster...but the mad scientists at The Brew Gentlemen have pulled it off. Both sides of the coin are (inconceivably) equally present, & while it's a bit jarring at first (in a pleasant surprise kind of way), it really, REALLY works well. Mileage may vary per palate, but for me it just further cements the talents & quality of TBG Beer Company.
