Had on tap at the brewery. The first thing I noticed about my pour was the lack of any head, a completely flat appearance. Otherwise looked like a typical pitch black high abv BA stout. The nose is where things really go to pieces. It has a strong solvent-like aroma, overwhelming anything else that may be there. Mercifully the taste is not nearly as offensive, but the solvent off flavor is still there in the background along with some burnt roasty malts and sweetness. Not getting too much in the way of bourbon notes. The body is rather full and slick. I fear this may be the early stages of an infection, hopefully the bottles are better for those who bought them.
