lightly hazy session type, citra and mosaic, but surprisingly not as generic as it sounds, juicy and bright, still some bitterness on the back end, frothy almost creamy body, refreshing when ice cold but it opens up a lot as it warms, like their a year with dr nandu ipa i had right before it, this wasnt as fresh a can as i wish it was, but i still like the beer, and the art is cool. straw yellow colored brew with uniform haze, middle of the road in terms of density but quite lively and heady, very well carbonated, faintly dull in luster but appealingly pale in this style. citra in front of mosaic in aroma and flavor, this is juicy and even if not that fresh still popping, bold for being this low in alcohol, a lot more overall character than most session types ever bring to the table. i like the dry but flavorful grain here, wheaty and maybe an unmalted element, cool texture to this. like the ipa, there is a subtle yeast factor which is not out of place, perhaps a house flavor of sorts here, this is just me second of their beers. i wish it was fresher, some real hop fade making this lean a little green, but the potential sure is here. overall i think a more unique session type than most are, even with known entity hops, and im already looking forward to my next aeronaut brew!

While I’m not the biggest fan of the “session IPA” concept, what I AM a fan of is chemistry; and few do that better than the Ivy Leaguers at @AeronautBrewing. So, as a former Somerville resident, when I saw this front and center at my local boozery, I had to give it a try. This ale pours a warm hazy yellow with medium head — unassuming at first until the aroma hits you… boy did these guys pack a lot of fragrant hops into this one! Unsure what I had already got myself into at 4pm, I timidly took my first sip, only to be met with what was actually a pretty inoffensive ensemble. For as strong as piney and fruity aroma as this beer emits, the flavor, balance and feel were all pretty average. Not bad (pretty good overall actually), but I couldn’t help but think I was drinking the diet version of something greater… Cheers!

From the pint can, it pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a nice white head that lasts and leaves lacing. The nose gets a whiff of pine and citrus. The taste follows the nose - although it is a touch watery, as one might expect. watery but smooth feel and overall pleasant and quaffable

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had nice citrus fruit hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned on 11/04/2020. Pours straw yellow, with a half finger head that leaves some thin lines of lace with little retention. 3.75
Smell lemon, earthy, herbal, biscuit, pine, and grapefruit. 3.75
Taste follows lemon, earthy herbal hops, biscuit, pine, and a little grapefruit pretty balanced and actually really pleasant, but safe. 3.75
Mouthfeel is crisp and lite, plenty of life, a touch dry, and at 4.6% extremely easy drinking. 4
Overall obviously not normally a session guy, but this one kind of fell into my lap and a nice session for sure. 3.75

Plays to the strengths of this brewery. Strong hop flavor and aroma. Mouth feel somewhat dry. Bites at the end a little bit but not too bad. One of the best beers they make.

Pours a hazy yellow with a minimal head. Aroma of hops is enticing. Taste follows suit with a piney, somewhat citrusy flavor. Mouthfeel is surprising for a lighter beer. A bit pricey for a session beer, but it is pretty tasty, quite well done.
