This Imperial Stout from Aeronaut, dated Wednesday, is listed as 8.9% ABV. Served from a crowler into a tall glass. Beer pours black and bubbly, and forms a thick sudsy brown head. Aromas of coffee, molasses, and bourbon. Flavors are dark, and deep and stick to the tongue, but I find it a bit one dimensional.

Serving: On tap at the brewpub in a sampler snifter
Served: 14 May 2016
Appearance: Pitch black, like one would expect, topped with a bubbly tan head that collapsed to a relatively light sheen of bubbles under influence from the alcohol content.
Smell: About what you would expect- chocolate, espresso, and malt sweetness.
Taste: Nicely balanced roasted notes with the malt sweetness. Not overly acidic. Finishes with a dry, clean, subtly smokey roasted flavor. Alcohol is masked nicely.
Mouthfeel: High body with medium carbonation. Nice and smooth.
Overall: A great Aeronaut beer and one I would definitely consider getting if there.
