Canned 4/27/22
It’s been a minute, Aeronaut. This one sounds like it’ll be perfect for the summer, so of course I had to pick it up. I’m usually not too into fruited IPAs, but I have a good feeling about this one. Let’s get into it
Pours a hazy orange gold with 2 fingers of white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves no lacing
Oh man, this one smells surprisingly boozy, and it’s a bit rough. I’m picking up on aromas of orange marmalade, doughy malt, fusel alcohol, light caramel, and a touch of pineapple juice
It’s really not great in taste either, unfortunately, it’s just kinda sloppy. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pineapple juice, caramel malt, coconut, bread crust, and orange zest. The swallow brings notes of orange marmalade, caramel malt, drying alcohol, pineapple juice, and woody hops
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a surprisingly crisp neer. Finishes mostly dry with a boozy bite
Yeah, I wasn’t really a fan of this one. At least it goes down easy despite the booze, but it’s not at all what I was expecting. Oh well
