Can stamped underneath "11/7/19."
This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance had a muddy brown color in the pour and yielded more of a black color in my glass. A beautiful rocky eggshell white foamy head sat on top of the beer and really took its time to dissolve. A ton of speckled lace dotted my glass entirely - looked really nice!
The aroma had a deep piney hoppy woody character punching at dark roasty coffee and some cocoa nibs.
The flavor leaned towards a combined effort of bitter piney hops and bitter coffee grounds, some roast and dark toasty effects roll in underneath. Mild aftertaste of roasted dark malts and some clean burnt toast, subtle ash/char.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality as expected for the style. Good carbonation and plenty of dryness equating to a wonderful finish with ashy charred toast character.
Overall, I'd say a very nicely done black IPA well worthy of coming back to.
