This beer is cranberry red in color and cloudy. Lasting head which leaves many thicker streaks on the glass.
The smell reminds me of sauerbraten, a German meat dish which features soured meat and onions. I imagine it’s the combination of salt and sour. There may be a background berry that completes the picture.
The taste is even more tart than the smell suggests. Here, the berries are far more present but seem to add to the sourness. It’s a bit like cranberry juice but it’s richer and carbonated. The finish is tart leaving a lip smacking aftertaste.
