Deep brown with light passing along the edge. Smaller head which provides an initial ring of lace and wider streaks later on.
The smell features black coffee and little else.
The flavor leans to the topical black patent (burnt) malt I expect from a dry Stout. As an Oatmeal Stout, the body is actually thin with a higher carbonation. This is a simple beer without any nuances. Still, it’s quite drinkable and pleasant.
