Horse & Dragon Midnight Stallion BA Imperial Dark Lager, 8% ABV. Pours thin and light black with a one-finger tan head that left a foam cap. Nose is malty with toffee. Taste is toffee, chocolate, rye, roast malt, slightly sweet slightly bitter. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent. I liked it more than I expected, dark and BA, but not a stout.

My first from this brewery. They call it an Imperial Dark Lager, but basically an Impy Stout, but less ABV.
Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice dark brown/black color, with some very nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger tan head, which also leaves a very nice huge size island and some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice touch of chocolate/toffee, pretty nice dark fruit complex (black cherries, figs, dates, raisins), with a pretty nice touch of bourbon/whiskey/oak, some roastyness, vanilla, with some licorice, The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, pretty nice dark fruit complex (black cherries, figs, dates, raisins), pretty nice bourbon/whiskey/oak, some nice roastyness, nice touch of vanilla, licorice. Medium Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, a very tasty complex brew. Overall, this is a very nice sipper. Glad to see it around. Recommended!
