12 oz. pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass. It pours a cloudy, bright, lemony-tangerine color with a modest, ecru cap and swirls of lacing inside the glass. Its nose is musty with the smell of Belgian yeast, a whiff of tobacco smoke, lemon, and a kiss of orange peel. It's dry and earthy with notes of red wine, lemon peel, Belgian spicing, and pepper. There is a slightly hoppy finish. It's lite, crisp, and well carbonated, and it drinks very easily at 5.7% ABV. Overall, Saison Dechaunac was a great first beer on a warm, sunny, June day. It's refreshing, authentic, and enjoyable.
