I've bought cans of this and had it on tap.
Pours golden in color, real good clarity, 1/2" white head, both impressive given the amount of pepper heat on this one. Aroma is hoppy and spicy peppers. Clear them sinuses up.
Taste is pretty good. Has the standard golden promise and pale like maltings, crisp carbonation. There is plenty of heat and its further pushed with the hops and high carbonation levels, all appropriately done. The hops are pretty much just for bittering and that pairing works. The heat is high, but not so much that it obscures the more beercentric aspects of the liquid. The weird thing for me is this would be a better winter beer. I like the beer, but it seems like they always come out with it in the hottest summer months. Still drink it then, but boy after a cold day on the slopes, this crisp lager banger would have a fun amount of heat to get ya back to normal in the parking lot.
