Picked up a 4 pack of this in October 2017. Actually made for a real nice can to bring to the golf course that fall.
Pours dark brown, lighter brown head 1/3". Aroma was a little more roasted malt and coffee than it was whiskey barrel, but that's ok, this is a 6% beer, you don't want barrel domination.
Taste, shit man, this is nice (Randy Marsh smoking weed/Detective 'nice'). Its a good balanced blend of coffee, roasted malt, light bitter hopping, and light whiskey barrel influence. I'm guessing around 100 days, maybe less. Got the carbonation right, this is a barrel aged porter you can drink in 90 degree weather, but hey, its even more enjoyable on a cool evening with a cigar. I should also mention the light smoke addition to it, prolly smoked malt, again, balanced, nothing dominating or too heavy. I think this is the best beer I've had from Pigeon Head, who is almost always reliable, but not necessarily return purchases.
