An homage to the current brewer's father (who also was the 4th in this family to be a brewer and passed this brewery on to his son), Georges IV is a fitting tribute and he should be proud of his son. For Georges IV is full of flavor.
However, it could Look better than its style's average; lacking foam and no lace. That may have resulted from a tired old yeast (or this sitting on the shelf for 4 years and I got the final copy in captivity.) Regardless, I Smell fruit just not much nor distinct. However Tastes are full, a nice melange of fruit that is balanced by just enough hops. Almost medium-mouthed. 8% ABV is well-concealed, indicating a master's touch and is the highlight of this ale.

Pours a hazy golden color with a medium top off white head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is of apples, citrus, biscuits, yeast, light sourness, peppercorns and some floral hop notes.
The taste is dry and light sour with some notes of fruits and spices allong with some slight malt notes in the background. The finish is quite bitter with floral and earthy hop notes. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
A decent enough belgian pale ale, but nothing really stands out about it.
