Picked up from the refined fool.

Comes in a label bottle.
5% abv.

Pour:
This was poured into into a clear vacuum glass, pale yellow, gold where the glass widens.
Frothy momentarily quickly receding remains bubbly throughout the entire drink, retaining carbonation for the entire drink.

Nose:
Very citrusy, almost slightly floral slighty tarty yet sweet smelling.

Taste:
Citrus, fruity, sharp tang that doesnt linger but the citrus does.
slight wheat but not a real wheaty beer.

Mouth feel:
Very light, crisp, refreshing and subtle. Brisk when cold.

Overall: I would buy again if in the area but would not seek it out to purchase again.

650 mL bottle fresh from the brewery. Served slightly chilled in a weizen glass.

Pours pale straw yellow at the neck, with a deeper golden hue in the wider section of the glass. Cloudy as hell, and initially capped off with two fingers of fluffy, sparkling white head. It fades off steadily over the next couple of minutes, producing a small ring of lace and a wide, foamy collar rimming a patchy cap. Grainy pale malts, wheaty bread and a subtle sweetness on the nose, with accents of ripe banana, clove, lemon peel and apples.

Solid hefeweizen; this would be an excellent summer patio quaffer. The flavour profile follows the aroma, with plenty of grainy, bready wheat malt leading a light doughy, honeyed sweetness. Subdued banana flavour, with hints of apple. Finishes with a touch of lemon, wheaty malt and grassy hops that leave the palate feeling dry; the sip concludes with a brief flash of clove spice followed by a clean aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with moderately aggressive carbonation characterized by small, prickly bubbles. Crisp, zippy mouthfeel that is extremely refreshing.

Final Grade: 3.87, a respectable B+. My Cousin Knows the Drummer certainly isn't the first pale wheat ale (or even hefeweizen) that Refined Fool has released, but I'd say it's definitely their best one to date. I've already had two bottles over the past two days, and will probably be back for more. Recommended for all German wheat beer fans, particularly Erdinger enthusiasts. Worth making a summer seasonal.
