Rally good lager. Notes of honey and malt. pours foamy with white head. Clean crisp tasting. Medium weight. Satisfying taste. A good lager for a hot summer day

Bomber purchased at the brewery; dated Jan 10 2018 and served well chilled. Time for a quick phone review.
Pours medium gold in colour, with a transparent body supporting one finger of loose, bubbly white head that fizzles off within two minutes' time. A foamy collar remains, as does a spotty band of lace. The aroma is clean, with notes of honey, doughy biscuit and grainy pale malts, as well as a subtle wisp of grassy hay. I'm also getting a hint of something fruity - white grape and apples, maybe?
A clean-tasting, straightforward brew, along the lines of a blonde ale. Pale malt sweetness characterizes the front end of the sip, with flavors of doughy biscuit and honey featured over a grainy pale barley malt backbone. Grassy hay and leafy hops come through prior to a dry finish; some astringency lingers in the aftertaste, but after several sips I barely even notice it. Light-medium in body, with moderately lively carbonation that has a prickly feel on the tongue; a little slick after swallowing, but easy enough to toss back either way.
Final Grade: 3.7, a B grade. Dean's Not Immune is a pretty solid lagered ale. The aftertaste is slightly too persistent for my tastes, but that's a fairly minor complaint - it's still very easy to drink, and basically a pleasure to do so. If I were in the market for something simple to swill all night, I think I'd prefer their Troll Toll cream ale over this one. Still, this is a strong effort that is well worth a shot.
